Hypercube (or Tesseract)
The above animation of a rotating hypercube and subsequent image were created by A. Michael Noll circa 1967. This was part of my original research on early digital art, and along with Manfred Mohr's work, was the initial triggers for interest in the fourth dimension. I will hopefully begin to create my own typeface and along with understnading what 4d is I need to also be able to create 4d shapes on an aesthetic/visual level. Hopefully looking at how a bisc 4d cube or hypercube is made I can then apply these methods to a lettter, PERHAPS BITMAP FONT (COMPRISED OF SQUARES).
Above are two isntructions to drawing a 4d dimensional cube, perhaps I could apply the same method of OVERLAYING the two the JOINING THE CORNERS, it is ratehr a rudimentary way and it might not be truly mathematical 4d represetnation but it will be atleast a visual 4d letter, in which the visual is the most important.
